Lots of Love and Laughter | Ocean City MD Beach Family Photographer

I just love this family to pieces!  This was my third year photographing this family and I tell you it keeps getting better and better.  These boys keep me on my toes and didn’t even stop for a minute.  As you can see we spent a gorgeous afternoon on the beach of Assateague Island and we really couldn’t have asked for a better day.

This particular image holds very special meaning for the family as their life’s motto is:  Live Life with the Sand Between your Toes

Thank you “H” family for a perfect day!

If you are interested in scheduling a beach session (high school senior or family) please contact me as my summer months are limited.

Next week we have a very special maternity session to share.  In fact, they even brought along their dog to share in on the fun.  See you then!

The Look of Confidence | Salisbury MD Senior Portrait Photography

This 2012 senior kept me laughing all day long!  He knew exactly what he wanted and brought along his “team of experts” to make sure everything went smoothly.  He had his driver, stylist, prop coordinator, managers, and also his posing coach.  This kid knows how to make things happen!  The 1963 Ford truck was his Grandfathers and held such special meaning for both he and his Father.

“B” you crack me up…and I see nothing but great things in your future!  Enjoy your senior year!

Now you know I couldn’t continue with out showing off his mad soccer skills.  He definitely wanted to make sure that I captured all his tricks.

One of my favorites…such a look of confidence!

SENIOR Pick!  This was ”B’s” favorite image of the day.

I came home from this session knowing that I captured some very special memories not only for Mom and Dad, but also for the Senior.  What a perfect day!

Thanks for stopping by! Next week I’ll be showcasing a gorgeous family on the beach full of love and lots of laughs.  See ya then!

Anything for you Mom… | Wicomico County MD Senior Portrait Photographer

The busy season is finally over, the holidays have been celebrated and put away for another year and now I have time to breath and look back.  I still have a few sessions that I wasn’t able to blog last year (mostly due to a lack of time) until now.  So sit back and enjoy the next few weeks…you’ve got lots of fantastic seniors and a few family sessions coming your way!

This handsome senior was very shy at first.  He had a look on his face that read, “Mom, you know I’m doing this just for you”….but that soon disappeared after five minutes.  He was so comfortable in front of the camera and did anything I asked…bless his heart!  We first met up at a local ball field and focused on shots showing his love of soccer.  After that we drove to a local park and utilized the gorgeous fall colors and beautiful evening light.

Congratulations “R”!  I hope you have a fantastic senior year!

I would love it if you would leave a comment letting me know you stopped by!

Check back next week when I’ll be showing a senior session with mad soccer skills and a 1963 Ford Truck!

Happy New Year! | Salisbury Maryland Childrens Photographer

Happy New Year!  I wish everyone a very happy, healthy and prosperous 2012!  I am looking forward to a very exciting year here at Kara Layfield Photography.

Now that the gifts have been given, I just had to share the image that I gave my Mother for Christmas.  I printed it as an 8×12 and had it framed in a gorgeous black boutique frame.  I am now considering getting one for my walls it looked so good!

Oh…I just love this image.  Yes, my son is making the worlds cheesiest smile but that’s so him.  I love that I’ve captured his little smile at this age.  My daughter is just the perfect model.  She let me photograph her for an hour.  Just look at that perfect “S” pose!

See…I told you…GORGEOUS! {the image was printed on metallic paper}

If you’d like to schedule a session for this winter or spring, I’d love to chat!  I’ve got lots of fun ideas that I want to use in the coming year!
